Middle-aged trans woman surviving the apocalypse with baking, flowers/trees, silly times with my kid, and some righteous indignation.
I hope it remains shitty enough to self-implode, but if people keep using/training it and billionaires keep pouring resources into it they might get their wish.

The promise of vastly reducing a company's personnel costs (i.e. human jobs) to increase quarterly profits. Everything else is in service of optimizing it for that goal.

Reading all of these comments and hearing happiness from other trans people is a joy. Thanks for asking the question. Also, I discovered the other day (after 2 yrs HRT) that I think I have hips!

Sounds like ChatGPT is involved.

Whenever NYT publishes the odd story/opinion like this, it feels like a fig leaf for their overall anti-trans project.

NYT? Stopped clock, etc., I guess.

That’s the lower end, how they replace worker power. This is the top-down layer of control. (via @gilduran.com )

I hope that the next time we have a Dem admin, there isn't some Bidenesque attempt to "return to normalcy." There isn't a polite return to the way things have been done. Because this court has no standard, and they will undermine that admin relentlessly with opinions contrary to those they find now.

When people who have an academic record that suggests that they aren't stupid say or write things that are thoroughly and deeply stupid, my assumption is that they think you or I are deeply stupid, and their vapid 'logic' is clever cover for their animus. 3/

The notion that putting sex assigned at birth on a passport is a mere historical fact and presents no inequity is laughable in its willful ignorance. But these 6 also utterly fail to, apparently, grasp that putting "historical fact(s)" on passports has no justification. What purpose is served? 2/

Definitely not suggesting that biometrics determine sex/gender. Or that I'm even a fan of biometrics. My point is is that the markers on ID are not the least bit useful for the purpose of identification; dubious if they ever were, and even less so now.

I feel strongly that, at whatever point, we need to fight for the removal of these markers from passports and driver's licenses/RealID, as they serve no legitimate purpose, particularly with biometrics now the norm. That way this can't keep changing it based on their discriminatory whims

At this point, even packing the court with an additional 47 justices to make it an unworkable and terminally hamstrung institution would be an improvement over the Trump lackey court.
