I saw a bumper sticker today - “Are We Great Again Yet?!”

It stuck with me. What does success look like? If we’ve been trying to do this for over 12 years (officially), is it effective?

I had the opportunity to interview one of my favorite musicians, Derek Webb, about his new album "Survival Songs." It's a beautiful album, written for queer kids and their allies. I'm a big fan. Enjoy!

Bless Cory Booker for staying up all night to speak out against these evil morons. This is the kind of fight that we are all looking for.

Watching Cory Booker in hour 23. Wow. This is a history and civics lesson. Separation of powers.

St Patrick's Day

I bind to myself today

The power of Heaven,
The light of the sun,
The brightness of the moon,
The splendor of fire,
The flashing of lightning,
The swiftness of wind,
The depth of sea,
The stability of earth,
The compactness of rocks.

Today, we remember Blessed Rutilio Grande and the two people travelling with him who were killed on this day in El Salvador in 1977.

His friend Saint Oscar Romero would be inspired to speak out against injustice following the assassination.

We have to recognize that activism is: Activism is a skill that takes time and experience to learn.

As we clamor for more action to resist this regime, it is good to bear in mind that, while we have no time to waste, learning activism is a process.

We can get better at this as we learn by doing.
