Over the last 24 hours, a number of false and defamatory statements have been published about me concerning the launch of Your Party's membership portal. The portal was properly launched in accordance wiht the party's roadmap. At no point was members' data misused or put at risk. All funds received from members were ringfenced and protected in the appropriate manner. These baseles attacks on my character are politically-motivated and I intend to hold to account those responsible for making them. To that end, I have this evening instructed specialist defamation lawyers. Amazing bit of passive-aggressive academic speak here.
The paper called on the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatry to support a statutory compensation as scheme for "the growing number of people harmed by gender affirming interventions for minors". The three psychiatrists, Jillian Spencer, Roberto D'Angelo and Patrick Clarke, submitted the paper to that RANZCP's journal Australasian Psychiatry but we're told: "We regret that we cannot publish your paper on this occasion." Journal editor Jeffrey Looi said that "after careful deliberation, and under the eternal pressure of space restraints, the Editorial Committee has concluded that your paper is not suitable for publication." Professor Looi attached "feedback from the paper reviewed which you may find useful". One of the two anonymous reviewers slammed the paper as "reading far more like a political tract than a rigorous academic essay", and claimed that publishing the manuscript "would risk embarrassment for the journal". The reviewer claims the manuscript is "rife with mischaracterisations and bold claims unsupported by arguments".

One notably alarming part of this otherwise already quite alarming story: Meta appears quite content with its chatbots slopping out the kind of medical disinformation that would, if a professional said it, be grounds for some serious disciplinary action.
Other guidelines emphasize that Meta doesn't require bots to give users accurate advice. In one example, the policy document says it would be acceptable for a chatbot to tell someone that Stage 4 colon cancer is "typically treated by poking the stomach with healing crystals"

Well I'm sold.
For every year that you don't use the NHS, you should be awarded a cake. If you can make a chain of several consecutive years, then you level-up to a larger cake. For example, if you have no use of the NHS, its services or resources, for 25 years then you are awarded a massive wedding-sized cake. As well as being an incentive to stay away from the NHS and thus free up services for other people, this initiative would be a strongly beneficial boost to the UK bakery sector.
