Real headline on CNN. Walmart also contributes to the healthcare and SNAP crises by underpaying their employees and telling them to apply for government benefits.

From today.

The other photo from 2025 was last week. He looks noticeably worse today.

Fleur de Lis pizza in Baton Rouge.

Was the pizza good? Meh. Had they washed the pizza pans in the 60 years they were open? Probably not. Was there a measurable layer of cigarette smoke on all of the walls? Yup.

But at just the right time, that pizza hit hard.

Well...all of my teams lost today. But I did get about 10 stockings done.

(mini Christmas stockings. Big enough to hold a gift card and/or some candy, but not much else. )

(if anyone is interested, you can have some for a donation to DonorsChoose or a food bank)

I spent way too much time comparing the 2025 Walmart Thanksgiving meal to the 2024 one, with current prices in Western PA. 2025 is on right, 2024 on left.

Bottom line...the 2024 meal provides more food for only $7 more in cost.

This is the menu. The only reason it is less is that the turkey is less. It is also missing eggs, sugar, and spices for the pumpkin pie.

Also...I've had that Great Value Mac and Cheese. They can keep it.

This is Walmart's Thanksgiving meal. It's awesome if you make pumpkin pie with just canned pumpkin puree--no sugar, spices, eggs, etc.

Also, I've had Great Value Mac and Cheese. They can keep it.

Wait...isn't Trump famously a teetotaler? Is he drinking champagne in this photo from NYT?

Here is the policy. Teachers also pointed out that this basically meant they couldn't teach about women in science, about the Civil Rights Movement, about people with disabilities, etc.

Did he have a TBI or something? Because he's also saying today that Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco is gone...and it is not.

This draft policy was written by a school board president in Arizona. It's insane. It's also a telling sign of where we are.

Public comment was mostly against, which surprised me.

This is just who Johnson is. When he was in the Louisiana State House, he proposed back then that there be a new constitutional convention to "overhaul" the US Constitution.

This has been who he is since he was in the Louisiana State House. Check out the last part of his Wikipedia entry. He was proposing back then that the US Constitution be "overhauled."

This is one of his set pieces. I Googled "Daddy, Daddy, something happened," and found this transcript from a speech he gave after his first term.

In case you are wondering why people are doubtful about the ceasefire in Gaza, this is a tweet from the DoD in June.

Funny...the writer of the Gospel of Matthew didn't preface this from Chapter 25 with, "This only applies to legal citizens. Everyone else can get stuffed."

I'm tired of Christians who don't understand what they claim to profess. From Matthew 25.

I would literally rather die than to buy my medications from any website called TrumpRx. I'm not giving the government any more information about me than I absolutely have to.

This was a comment on the YouTube clip of Broz's goal tonight. It's the first preseason game and most vets aren't playing, for cryin' in a creek.

Gannon University in Erie PA. My alma mater. Sigh.
September 16, 2025 at 4:06 PM
An employee of my alma mater posted about that man's death in Utah. He didn't say anything inflammatory, celebratory, or untrue or in bad taste. Rightwingers on Facebook found him and spammed posts about the university's centennial this weekend with calls for his firing. Here's what they did. (1/
