I don't know if I'm getting rid of my account on the other platform yet, but I figured I'd give this a try.

About me? Born, raised, and live in Pittsburgh, with 20 year in Louisiana and AZ in the mix, too. Love the Pirate (sigh), the Penguins, and Utah HC. Genetically compelled to follow Steelers
I avoided "The Orville" for years because it was sold as a Star Trek parody and it had Seth McFarlane attached to it (I don't find most of his projects at all worthwhile).

But he did a much better job of paying tribute to Trek than Paramount's New Trek (Lower Decks excepted). (cont)

He's been my favorite player for a long time now.
Rust coming back in the third and scoring: example 4,241 of why he’s such a terrific player. Warrior.

Sure you are. When you are talking about someone from India.

Fantastic piece from Noah. You should go read it.

(May be a paywall...sorry if there is.)
“It’s stuff like this that will keep him motivated to press on and never give up.”

Penguins goalie Tristan Jarry recently teamed up with "So Many Angels" to give a young fan an experience he'll never forget. My story:
As Penguins' Tristan Jarry has shown, 'So Many Angels' project provides hope and inspiration for children battling cancer
Tristan Mikelas didn’t have high expectations when his family arrived at the Dave & Buster’s North Hills location along McKnight road....

He can't help himself. I don't think he has the mental capacity to keep his racist tendencies in anymore.
Trump's speech about the shooting in DC veered into him attacking the Somali community in Minnesota, which of course had nothing to do with the shooting. Gives away his bigoted game.

With DC shooter now identified as an Afghan national not the antifa secret agent White House hoped for a good time to remember the Trump admin has gutted domestic anti-terrorism capacity and reassigned many to finding grandmothers to arrest at immigration hearings.

I don't know what this is, but it isn't journalism.
very odd that the Post would write up someone’s speciation as if it’s news. What are we doing here

"For ordinary folks..."

Kevin, you and your perpetual smirk are the out-of-touch ones.
Hassett: "On one of the Sunday shows, the anchor criticized the fact Walmart said the Thanksgiving dinner is cheaper by about $10. Then he said, 'Oh yeah, but they substituted generic stuff,' as if having a generic something is a crime for ordinary folks! It shows how out of touch these people are."

Every word of this is utter nonsense.
Trump: "Despite their size, Secretary Kennedy has formally certified that these are the first ever MAHA turkeys. They could be fat, but they're still MAHA. They've been fattened on a steady diet of grass, beef, to allow the smoothies and all the other things they have been eating for this occasion."

Too many people are turning all of their thinking over to AI.
Roughly 42% of shoppers are already using A.I. tools for their holiday shopping, a recent survey found. More than half of Generation Z and millennial respondents said they trusted A.I. to recommend unique gifts. nyti.ms/4pocGQc

The first season of "The Orville" was in 2017. I think Seth McFarland foresaw a second Trump term.

Well...this cover is a choice. A bad choice, but a choice nonetheless.
Over many interviews, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. told Michael Scherer about how he plans to remake America’s public-health system. Can he lead the scientific establishment he’s spent much of his life crusading against?

"Challenge scientific orthodoxy" must be the administration approved way of saying,"ignore scientific facts."
Breaking News: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said he personally instructed the CDC to abandon its position that vaccines do not cause autism. The move underscores his determination to challenge scientific orthodoxy — in this case, that vaccines save lives — and bend the health department to his will.
RFK Jr. Says He Instructed CDC to Change Vaccines and Autism Language on Website
In an interview, Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. cited gaps in vaccine safety research. His critics say he is ignoring a larger point: Vaccines save lives.

2) Admin officials attacked The Post, falsely alleging the reporting of "fake crap."

3) The CG said it would review policy language.

4) The CG reversed course.

The argument I hear is that the swastika is a symbol older than the Nazis. And it is. There was a church my dad and I went to often that was built in the mid-1800s that had swastikas in the border mosaics. I was very confused about that as a kid...so I went to the library (cont)
AOC to @pabloreports.bsky.social : A swastika is one of the clearest symbols of hatred in all of humanity… to remove that designation… indicates a possible collaboration with those very elements, which I think is genuinely frightening to any American.
