Between planned obsolescence & manufactured products and components that can't be repaired, only replaced, most of what we consider durable goods are much less durable now. My first house had a Honeywell thermostat for 75 years. It may still be going. Modern ones are expected to last a decade or so.

My son and I used to love doing bike and pedestrian counts together. I think Minneapolis stopped doing them? Here we are in 2020 on the east side of the Number 9 bridge.
