It's been disorienting seeing the guy who took to the PP-elist to accuse Glendale residents of vandalizing his home now working together with Defend Glendale on historic preservation. Many twists and turns to it all.

A few people were surprised by the fortitude of a diminutive 18-year-old Somali American AHEJ in Ward 9 moving other campaign workers outside the 100-foot buffer zone. I think she'll do just fine in college on the East Coast next year.

This is the part I find incomprehensible. For years, the city told me there was inadequate signage to enforce the bike lanes on 27th Ave SE, so there was nothing to be done about it

They have people issuing debit cards that can be used to pay for eligible medical expenses. They have people verifying that your expenses are eligible. They have people writing copy for the websites that explain the program and the changes that they make it every year.

It's not even that people don't benefit from it evenly. It's that they add in all this expensive and useless administrative burden in order for you to claim the discount of a portion of your family's medical expenses. It's insane.

It depends on what it is for me and how much care/effort goes in to packaging the food to preserve tastiness. Pick up pizza? No tip. Customized fresh salad bowl? Tip. I should say I rarely get pick up food.

My kids just gave me all the Butterfingers and Mounds bars because I like them and they don't. It wouldn't have occurred to me to raid their stash after that.
