I want to start drawing again. Never been good at it. Any tips?

I’m grateful for so much, and angry about so much more, and just so tired.

Cheesy spicy chicken bacon broccoli casserole for dinner tonight and all other nights this week. Maybe some lunches, too.

Lyrics Prompt Poem, Day 4: Road

This poem didn't quite gel the way I'd hoped, but I wrote it. Which means it meets the objective of my game.

Probably shouldn’t have gone to the orchid sale at the Muttart yesterday. I’m running out of shelf space.

Need to accept that I am not, in fact, going to get any repotting done this weekend, and I should put away all this stuff that’s been sitting out since last weekend.

It’s time to find a winter home for the plants that live in front of my fireplace so I can start the season of cozy living.

I haven’t done any stitching in weeks: painting, exhaustion, repotting plants, crashing fatigue. And now it’s so hard to find any motivation.

I shared this because it's an example of ephemeral images by unknown illustrators collaged and recontextualized into a very famous, highly influential work of fine art, a generation or two prior to Lichtenstein's arrival on the scene.
From Max Ernst's "A Week of Kindness" (1934), a collage novel incorporating illustrations from numerous unknown sources. This image is from the fifth volume, designated Saturday, the topic of which is "the unknown."

I chose to repot a bunch of plants today instead of cleaning my bathrooms. It was the right decision.

Tried drowning the spider mites on my hibiscus today. I hope her leaves come back strong! 🌺🤞

Second day back at work after my vacation and I’m wrecked. How does thinking take so much out of me?

Turned my air conditioning off for the year and now it’s 25 degrees (Celsius) in my place. I’m sure my plants are happy though.

I love my new wall paint! Even though it took me my whole two weeks of vacation to do, and I’m still not quite done. 😅

Sad today because I had to say goodbye to my wee lithops, who bloomed for me only once. I lost the battle against the mealy bugs. (These little defeats can be so devastating. Going back to bad now for a little cry and a nap.)

New paint is looking great but I am STRUGGLING with this chronic fatigue-ADHD combo as I move into week two of my place being in complete disarray. Looks like painting is going to take up pretty much all my vacation. :(

Me to myself: Come on, you, get up and get painting! You get to put the orange in the kitchen today! 🍑🧡🍊

Got a lot of painting done yesterday, but I’m paying for it now and probably won’t get anything done today. :( I hope I feel well enough tomorrow to carry on!

Hard recommend!
in I THOUGHT YOU LOVED ME, i dig thru diaries looking for clues of an old friendship gone wrong, trying to figure out what happened exactly. in this process, other mysteries appear, as well as uncomfortable realizations.

Vacation plan #1 is underway. I love a white white! The other side of the tape is going to be yellow. Hope my plants don’t mind being a few feet away from the window for a few days.

Vacation plans:
- Paint over my dull grey-blue off-white walls with bright white, fruity orange, and zingy yellow
- Repot lots of house plants
- Do some stitching
- Read some comics
- Rest, rest, rest
