Along with the health and safety concerns these projects raise, our communities deserve real transparency, accountability, and a fair voice when big developments are proposed. Pennsylvanians shouldn’t be left subsidizing big tech while those companies rake in record profits.

That’s why I introduced the Ratepayer Protection Act. The bill ensures that high-load users like data centers cover the full cost of the strain they place on the grid instead of passing it on to families and small businesses.

As the Inquirer reported, the upgrades needed to support them often end up on the backs of regular people through higher utility bills.
