November is National Family Caregiver Month, and Local 509 Family Child Care members were honored to receive an award from the Massachusetts Caregiver Coalition for their fight in building a better childcare system that works for all families across the state. Congratulations! 🎉

Today, DCF workers held an informational picket outside the Springfield office while, inside, workers delivered a petition to Commissioner Miller. We’re calling for an immediate stop to the disorganization and opaque process around the dismantling of the ADLU. (1/2)

It’s move-in day at @tufts.edu and SMFA Professors of the Practice (PoPs) are making their voices heard! 📢 Since April 2024, PoPs have been negotiating their first union contract—but Tufts still refuses to offer them a livable wage.

📚✊ On the first day of classes, Brandeis part-time faculty welcomed students on campus while calling attention to their fight for a strong contract. PT faculty teach hundreds of courses every year—Brandeis works because they do!
