Just found this incredible manuscript of medieval embroidery designs. I can't get over how beautiful they all are, in like, a modernist logo way? We got a medieval Burton Kramer over here.

Just deleted around 2K-3K of photos of manuscripts off my cloud I had accumulated over the past year (project completed so don’t worry). Whyyyyy. It was taking up so much data 😥 I really need to invest into a harddrive because the day all my clouds accounts go bust I am doomed.

So excited to pay a visit to Harvard Library’s Preservation lab today to see their current work on an amazing unfinished Shahnama mss., and an 11th c. Georgian book with original woven binding! Conservators make magic w/tech & know-how & a truly heroic amount of legwork, I am in awe!!
