the venue I saw him in had stairs leading up to the stage and assigned seating — at the start of the show he encouraged people to fill space on the stairs instead of sitting in the assigned seats. it was one of the most intimate experiences I've had at a concert.

I have a self-hosted personal recipe site that lets me import recipes from other sites and strip out everything that isn't the actual recipe. it's very useful if you have a home server or a Raspberry Pi, or even just an old laptop you can leave running

a lot of good Columbo episodes are about a new technology, and a key facet is that the technology is always actually deployed in a realistic, plausible way. "this video of the murder is a deepfake" would be a bad episode, because as a viewer you're just like "oh, well, I guess technology is magic."
