First time I listened to Passion Pit's "Manners," it was during a long wait in a cancer clinic, while a loved one was being seen.
I played it bc Sleepyhead was on LBP's trailer, but then I properly heard that song's lyrics. The whole album gives me cognitive dissonance, both upbeat & heartbreaking.

When I was a young kid, on the day of a "comic relief" charity thing, I wore my school shoes on the wrong feet. I wasn't raising money, I was just *being silly* without realising that there wasn't a zero-donation tier where performative silliness would be valued.

Possibly my least consequential, but hottest take, is that moustaches are silly. That doesn't mean nobody should have one!
