The audiobook, a nerdy paranoid security notification, AND an ASD waiting list reminder? Seems excessive.

(This was last summer; diagnosis has since happened. Why do I still have a screenshot? Probably the autism.)

Strange but somehow comforting to see a #RHLSTP *guest* mug in the wild, on the #ButtonBoys podcast. It's like finding out that my uncle knows my in-laws, but I've never actually met any of them.

(Or maybe I'm latching on to anything mundane, to distract from the "Pippa Funnell's Wank Farm" boxart)

You're absolutely right, though. I can't imagine anyone would be shocked or offended if we traveled back to 1941 & somebody was telling "DEATH TO THE SS."

Post an unusual sign if you feel like it
Sign seen in Cornwall, with the title "RABIES" with a large amount of text in five languages (English, French, German, Dutch, Spanish). It is mounted on a brick wall, revealing it to be no larger than about A3. The sign is stapled on to some kind of unseen backing material with regular office staples, all of which are heavily rusted & bleeding orange stains downwards. The text explains British laws pertaining to the importation of mammals & the control of rabies. It warns that anyone bringing a mammal into the country without a "PREVIOUSLY granted" licence could face imprisonment, an unlimited fine, & the slaughter of the animal in question.

I *love* all efforts to reinterpret paleontology, especially when it uses pretty clear evidence like this.

Early researchers were doing their best, & I had all the plastic toys as a kid, but we shouldn't treat it as "settled" science.
