What currently looks like a bare stick is a newly transplanted pawpaw tree (Asimina triloba), one of several we received as a surprise donation & had to get in the ground today. I've got my fingers crossed that they survive. #IndigenousFoodways #CommunityOrchard #NativeTrees

About halfway through slicing veggies for soup I'm making in my biggest pot. Despite being first to cook I chop the onions last - that way I don't have to wash my chef's knife in between.

Seed leaves of a 'Dazzling Blue' kale seedling. Some of the seedlings are nearly purple. Some a dark green shading towards teal. This one is a mid-green w/purplish tinge to the stem. Fascinating range of color.

Test post of winter rye and Austrian pea cover crop. Grow, little plants, so that when you are larger I can sacrifice your lives for the sake of building soil. I will praise you and be grateful.
