Her book about the riots was so moving. Rest now dear mother.
As a survivor of the Tulsa Race Massacre, Viola Ford Fletcher bravely shared her story so that we’d never forget this painful part of our history. Michelle and I are grateful for her lifelong work to advance civil rights, and send our love to her family.

Love me some Boston creme donuts from Dunkin. Today's donuts were filled by an overzealous donut filler and were an explosion of creamy goodness. Hope everyone's Friday is also filled with creamy goodness.

My husband said I should watch the show Brave New World since I didn't like the book. After episode 1,I can say the show is better than the book. Rare for that to happen imo.

Just finished reading Brave New World by Aldous Huxley for the first time. I think I genuinely hated it. Parts of it seem to be a sexually-frustrated young man's daydream.

I've read books that make me wonder how life can go on without knowing what happens after the book ends. It's been awhile since that has happened and I'd like to find another one of those books. Any suggestions?

🧪 October is #BreastCancerAwareness Month.
1920: 5 yr #breastcancer survival rate was: 5%
1960: 25%
1990: 64-80%
2025: 92%

We have come so far!

Sustained NIH funding made this possible- from developments in breast imaging to drugs like Tamoxifen & Herceptin.

So much rain recently in the Phoenix area. We're at 85% humidity right now. So sticky. We average 27% in October usually.

It’s Tuesday morning and Dems showed up for work. But where’s the GOP? They’re not here. @repluzrivas.bsky.social

We’re here! But guess what? … All the doors are locked as the GOP cancelled votes and is pushing us towards a government shutdown.
