Those who say "I'm not ableist" yes you are. I have internalized ableism myself too. We were raised in a world that so much of our beliefs go back to ableism, patriarchy, racism, all of it.

Those who say "I'm not ableist" yes you are. I have internalized ableism myself too. We were raised in a world that so much of our beliefs go back to ableism, patriarchy, racism, all of it.

Disabled people usually cannot immigrate. Most countries with healthcare that could help us, say we are a "drain on economic resources" and have a limit of what you can cost the health system a year.
I've already gone over that cost in 1 month in the US.

Just a reminder that if you tell a disabled person to move out of the US if they’re scared of living here, other countries don’t want us either. Countries will turn you away because you’re disabled. We’re seen as a burden and that’s so normalized that it’s okay to turn us away.

I just want to throw this out there: HBO's "An Update on our Family" about the Myka and James Stauffer situation from a few years back? It sucks. It's a waste of time. I got more info and commentary from the Dad Challenge Podcast in ONE VIDEO than 3 episodes of this churned out bullshit.
