1/ NEW: We identified 20 people who attended a white nationalist conference and, despite their efforts to keep it secret, caught another 30 people on film to identify in the future. Several MMA/combat sports instructors were discovered and their gyms have cut ties.

“Razing Palestine” (Ed. Leila Marshy) comes out this week. Proud to stand in solidarity with every contributor & others who experienced personal & professional consequences for speaking out against Israel’s genocide. These stories represent just the tip of the iceberg of repression in Canada.

This story is so twisted. A Toronto student group hosted an event to celebrate literal members of the IDF (aka war criminals) and now they are claiming to be victims because they were protested.

It isn’t + never will be antisemitic to decry Israeli genocide or to hold those responsible accountable.

Hundreds of students & faculty members in Canada have faced repression for speaking out Israel's crimes against humanity and genocide. @drsabreena.bsky.social and I and several others lost their jobs. And now this U of T. I don't know what to say anymore.

One year ago, I learned that I would not be reappointed to teach at UBC's @ubcpublichealth.bsky.social. Dismissing instructors for speaking out about the genocide in Gaza is an egregious violation of academic freedom. All forms of repression of faculty & student speech about Palestine must end.
Sean Tucker, a former sessional instructor at UBC’s SPPH was told in October that he would no longer be teaching at the school after months of advocacy around the genocide in Gaza. Read the full Press Progress article here pressprogress.ca/hundreds-of-...

Ever wonder why so few athletes in North America have spoken about Israel's genocide in Gaza?

We did too... so we asked some to find out.

Answers include "fear of losing sponsorships," "the McCarthyist response from government,” and “Zionists gaslighting and doxxing people."
