A bass guitar-playing lover of movies & music. I also enjoy playing drums. I think of others, so just deal with it. I really need to get to more live gigs, but at least I got to see Oasis and Radiohead this year.
So who is going to serve Trump with legal papers?
The last president who declared that anything he does is legal was Richard M. Nixon. And we all know how things worked out for him . . .

Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends!

I hope you get to spend the day/evening with your loved ones, and don’t get stuck in Wichita, Kansas sharing a motel bed with Del Griffith.

Of course, here in the UK, today is known to us as Thursday.

Most of us are still grateful for a lot tho.

Back with the 1987 Festive 50, and this next band helped bring “world music” into alternative playlists in the West. Their presence here showed just how Peel’s audience embraced non-Western music.

A copy of the classic cyberpunk sci-fi computer game Omikron: The Nomad Soul is on display at the V&A David Bowie Centre, Stratford.

The soundtrack was written & performed by Bowie and Reeves Gabrels, whose guitar work helped shape the game’s dark, futuristic atmosphere, and lead to the Hours… LP.

So if a burglar says he assumes burglary to be legal, they’ll not be jailed for their crimes?

Not sure that’s how justice works.

US DoD says they assume all orders to be legal, so YOLO.

From one of the best LPs that feature George Best on the sleeve and were released in 1987, it’s Leeds’ finest indie janglers The Wedding Present.

A great live band and a great track. Turn it up.

It’s incredibly straightforward for all nations to have a policy to freeze out politicians that admire Putin and Russia.

Red flag?
Red card.

@colingreenwood.bsky.social it was great to see you lads back on stage in the UK last Friday.

I was able to watch you play No Surprises sat next my daughter, who I used to hum that lullaby of a tune to when she was a baby.

Beautiful moment.

Next in the 1987 Festive 50 was another sad moment, as it was just Prince and no longer Prince & The Revolution, which was pretty huge since they had basically conquered the planet over the previous 4 years.

More world leaders need to be saying this.

Also, the Euro should become the world's primary reserve currency.

The US is being destabilised by Russia from within and needs to be side stepped before it takes us all down.

Take a minute to read this perfect explanation of MTG's current stand...she does not deserve our sympathy. She created this monster and is using it for her own benefit.

Now we’re back with the 1987 Festive 50, and a track by Hammond organ–driven instrumental funk maestros The James Taylor Quartet. Fades in.

At 1st glance this song cld be about some Australian chick doing archery, but it is of course about her accepting plaudits for her achievements. Or something.

Anyway, this is the 1987 Festive 50!

Remember: The oligarchs who control our economy and democracy seek to divide us so they can become more powerful.

They want us to turn on each other so we don't look up and see where all the wealth and power have gone.

Don't fall for it.

Whilst none if this is news, the bit I’m interested in is the consequences.

With no consequences, lawlessness prevails.

So, today is the 1 day in my entire life that I see Radiohead for the first time. Making most if this one.
I'm so excited to have received a Radiohead Ticket Code for the upcoming gig dates!

Also, it's so pleasing to see this message in the email:

"The ticket price is fixed and will not change dynamically."

That's how to do it.

Now, I need to bag some tix 🤞

And now we’re back with the 1987 Festive 50, and a very politically literate band with a song named after the 17th-century Dutch painter. As per, it has LW political commentary within their delicate indie-pop.

I have to assume that this person failed to get tickets for Radiohead’s current tour.

I wld have been upset if I hadn’t got my tix as well.

But come on, posting an ill-aimed op-ed (that misses the key points of the argument) across multiple accounts worldwide to gain clout?

Please.

This is an odd article, basically written bc Radiohead chose to *not* get involved in the politics of the Gazan genocide. Like most bands.

The band catch flack bc one of them is married to an Israeli lady and once played a gig to the ppl of Tel Aviv (not to the regime).

Some ppl have odd opinions.
