UK born, settled in France - love gardening - especially growing chillies, tomatoes - 80 vines each summer! - and purple sprouting broccoli too. Father of four fabulous multilingual adult offspring. Have also sung on stage (and got away with it).
We’ve had laying hens for many years - and only added a bantam cockerel (and a bantam hen) a year ago after asking our neighbours if they would mind - they said they like it - but I think one is enough.

This is the father, he sings a lot, and we live in the centre of our town - so we will have to find homes for any of the 10 chicks that are cockerels - I don’t think our neighbours could stand the noise!

Not sure what variety mine is, but it always flowers very well. The best ones I’ve ever seen were growing on a balcony outdoors in Hondarribia - near San Sebastien.

Could be a Dryad’s Saddle - would need to see it from above, if so it is edible and delicious! Here’s a photo of one I found on Corstorphine hill in Edinburgh, Scotland.
