It's been pretty hard to wrap my head around a Tampa Bay Rowdies team that is actually pretty poor this year. Since they entered the USL Championship from NASL, they've been perennial contenders. Their crises are statistical anomalies, or when they briefly dip down to merely average.

Jay Chapman also seems to be settling in now and has started turning up around the box more, where he combines well even if his shots aren’t finding the net. But Darren Smith is taking care of the moment ability and putting them in.

Keith Larson: The former U23 goalscorer is now playing in the first division in Macedonia. His club, Voska Sport, is currently locked firmly in a relegation battle. He didn’t join until part way into the season but is starting and playing most minutes. A breakout season from him might save them yet.

Cristina Torres: after spells with Puerto Rico Sol, Alianza, and Mazatlán, the Puerto Rican senior international is now a regular for Pumas UNAM in Liga MX.
As a side note, I think she has a strong case for being the most underrated player in DCFC history.

Cy Goddard: since leaving Detroit City FC, he has played for 2 different teams in the Indian Super League. After spending last year with Odisha FC, he now turns out for Hyderabad FC. He is starting regularly but they are off to a poor start to the season, 2-1-7.

Kenna White: She now plays in the Hungarian top flight for ETO FC Győr. Her team finished 2nd last year and took home the domestic cup. This season, she has 7 goals in 8 appearances and her team currently sits top of the table. 🔥🔥🔥

First up, Barnabas Tanyi: the former youth, U23 and first team member has had a roller coaster ride up and down the levels of Slovenian football. He first tore up the 3rd tier for NK Brezice 1919 before signing a contract with 1st tier NK Aluminij.

This order is preferable if organized with direction like you have, but I find it maddening when flattened into a single line like Football Manager’s in-match UI. L > R would be more intuitive.

Going to take a stab at predicting the first lineup of the year for Detroit City FC.

The downside being his defensive and physical qualities. He will win next to nothing in the air, and he doesn’t win a lot of tackles. Stats that have a correlation with the team defensive structure (interceptions, recoveries) are mixed.

His stats in possession are mostly good to excellent, across the board. He gets on the ball, circulates it reliably, and creates chances. The Irish league is roughly comparable to USL. He’s a proven quantity who has won player of the month awards, and could be considered a likely starter from day 1.
