Saw a post about a Mom who was the uniform mom for the marching band. When I was in hs there was a kid for whom we didn't have a uniform the right size. Without a word, my Mom got their measurements and made them one. Miss you Mom.

We've been using a phinics based curriculum for reading. Last week around lesson 21 my kid jumped up and said "I'm reading and writing!" He was so happy. Today at lesson 24, he read 25 words. Brains are amazing!

Journalists, can we not interview children about their mass shooting experience? Can we just talk to their grown ups and focus on getting the kids the help they need. There is zero news value in traumatized children being interviewed.

My family were not James Dobson people, I'm not sure my parents gave him much thought despite being in churches where many followed him. I genuinely ache for my peers who suffered from his fear mongering and from parents who were so afraid of the "world" they would rather harm their kids.
