My brilliant friend Allison Lichter co-writes The Matriarchy Report. Always enlightening, but an especially powerful source of inspiration/resources/ideas during these dark times. Highly recommend subscribing.

Highly recommend The Leavers by Lisa Ko. Aside from it being a great read, it’s an important read at this time in history.

To recap,
Yes, many harmful orders came from the highest office,

BUT helpers arose:
The Reverend from her pulpit who called for love & mercy.
The staff who kept officers from raiding their school.
The lawyers who sprung into action to protect vulnerable communities.

We are all the helpers now.

Just discovered the author Tahmima Anam. Highly recommend! I devoured both A Golden Age & The Good Muslim. I am about to order the third book in her trilogy.

SHARE WIDELY.
KNOW YOUR RIGHTS.

With mass deportations starting today across the country, it is vitally important - for both citizens and non-citizens - to know your rights.

You have the right to remain silent. Assert it. You have the right to a lawyer. Ask for one.
