The little sandwich guy I posted the other day had 2089 tris in his model. This whole scene has 810. That's probably why this process is so much quicker

Thank you! Yeah, I'm a little proud of it given the time frame. Ideally it would have proper turning animations, the shadow you want, some smoke particles.

Part of what made it so quick was that n64 textures are so much easier. 32x32 pixel art with a thick Gaussian blur.

Rosie is just too much 😅

A hot take for the industry (maybe not around these parts), but I think $20 games in the low poly style from big devs should be standard. I often think of Pokemon. People literally want small sprite games. They could make one in no time and sell just as many units.

Was literally just playing Halo 2 on Xbox and was thinking something similar. Like, it looked artistically good. Why do we demand more these days?

I'd rather get 4 similar looking halo games in a gen like the 360 era rather than the 1 per decade we get now.

They also had Nascar star Danica Patricks, Wreck it Ralph, and the TF2 cast.

That is a lovely art style!

Computing has gotten worse even before AI. Like, why on earth is editing a Word Doc so heavy. We perfected this crap in like 30 years ago!

It feels like in lieu of real progress we are creating the problems to solve.

Wouldn't be the strangest crossover the franchise has done.

Why use social media if you don't want to talk to people?

I was a little disappointed in a @hankgreen.bsky.social video for implying there was sapience of some sort in AI. Just need to use AI for coding once to realize it doesn't *know* anything.

Yeah this sounds like the death of Affinity NGL. There will be a catch, just wait.

Open Source ftw.
