haven't played Horizon Zero Dawn since the end of July but I heard some grindy construction noise outside and I was like "Is that a.. Scrapper nearby?"
A Scrapper from Horizon Zero Dawn. A machine with a body plan similar to a big cat - large sloping shoulders, with two grinding cylindrical jaws. This one's grinding up some scrap metal and sending sparks flying.

Received this nice surprise in the mail from a friend in Toronto and nobody is allowed to impugn the value of the postal service let alone dismantle the damn thing, it is magic.

Halloween II (1981) is fucking gorgeous?? there's a lot of really beautiful photography / art direction in that movie. here are a couple mostly-spoiler-free shots and like.. look at the colour? (mint in shot 1, yellow and red in shot 2) the lighting? there's a lot of consideration of subtle details.

Just got my covid (and flu) booster via the roundabout method of clicking last year's "cancel/reschedule" link and signing up, only to find it recommended my next one be october 1st (already past)

What are we doing here? Shoppers is advertising flu shots but we need lifehacks to get one for covid?

A good friend gave me some flowers from her garden but I don't have any proper vases so they went in vessels intended for alcohol

Saw a blonde long-haired dachshund that looked just like this painting
