My constituent, Wilmer, was mauled by an ICE attack dog despite the fact that, as he has consistently explained, he was not resisting arrest or trying to flee—his wife and young children, all U.S. citizens, were forced to watch helplessly as Wilmer was violently attacked and dragged away.

This is one of those days where you want to make sure you're seeing the latest from us, not a post from earlier in the day...in case we need to pivot. Right now, latest thinking is some bridges and overpasses may be trouble overnight/tomorrow AM if we dip below freezing, especially N of 840.

@nashseverewx.com I'd love to buy your distressed gray NSWX logo hat, but it seems to be out of stock every time I check. Are there plans to bring it back? Or am I just getting unlucky and keep missing it? Thanks!

Y'all — As a journalist covering global health and environmental disparities, I've lived in Atlanta car-free since 2018 because that is the easiest way to put my money where my mouth is!

I am organizing a half-marathon length bike ride to support my newsroom, and I'd love for you to be my sponsor:

👻 Happy Halloween! What looks like a haunting group of glowing ghosts is actually a Drosophila (fruit fly) pupal notum — a sheet of cells captured with scattered spots expressing a GFP-tagged microtubule minus-end binding protein, Patronin.

If you're new to Nashville, some info in a 🧵. Our tornado season here runs from tonight (when we start getting Fall cold fronts) until about June. While tonight's severe/tornado risk is pretty low, this is good practice for later. (1/6)

We are now risking lives and actively letting people die because they can't afford inhalers.

Why? Because insurance companies are emboldened to not cover them under Trump. Cole Schmidtknecht died because of price-gouging — and he didn't have to.
Cole Schmidtknecht, 22, had insurance but couldn’t afford to refill his asthma inhaler after the cost jumped from $70 to more than $500.

Five days after his pharmacy visit last year, Cole had a severe asthma attack and died. nbcnews.to/4mM9cGV

When you look at the list of institutions they want to defund: libraries, museums, the Smithsonian, public schools, PBS, NPR, archives, you can clearly see that the real threat to an authoritarian regime is an informed and educated public
