A very good point. It's in my nature to encourage and compliment at every opportunity and I am surprised at how often people are sceptical about how genuine I am being. Kindness is important to me
Thinking a lot about this little book this morning by one of my favorite living essayists, Adam Phillips. The book asks: why are we so suspicious of kindness, and why do we interpret criticism, rather than kindness, as a mark of intelligence - not the other way around? Good read.

Quick reminder that NHS staff were treated terribly by the Conservative government for 14 years and kept the NHS going throughout that entire period. They are *definitely* not to blame for problems in the NHS, no matter what the media is saying! 🌟

It’s absolutely mind-boggling how many people in this country think that immigrants can just fill out paperwork and either “come legally” or “become a citizen.” It’s both so wrong and also such a product of intentional misinformation.
