Fan of ramen, climate science, built environment, tech, food, New Zealanders doing well. And ramen.
I may be late to this…but I’ve just learnt that there is a writer in NZ called Eric Trump.
Christ, I thought I had it bad during the “ScoMo” years.

Respect, my brother.
Check out this great article in the US magazine Slate by their Dunedin based reporter about why the moa should not be brought back from extinction. slate.com/technology/2...
Those De-Extinct Dire Wolves Were a Warning. Well, the Next Phase Is Coming.
It involves a giant flightless bird.

Yesterday I went to Franz Josef - and the glacier I walked up to about 16 years ago is, um, gone. Can’t even SEE it from the walkway.
As far as situations go, this seems far from ideal.

2025 is …

a perfect square 45 x 45 = 2025.

a sum of cubes: 1³ + 2³ + 3³ + ... + 9³ = 2025

a perfect square when you add 1 to each digit:

3136 = 56²

a perfect square when you increase the first digit by 1:

3025 = 55²

Maybe the only number with all these properties

New Zealand's recession shows how the RBA dodged a bullet
New Zealand's economy has slipped into one of the developed world's worst recent recessions, but it seems like the Reserve Bank of Australia is avoiding the same mistakes.
