Professor of Game Design, Potter, Garden Gnome, Board Game and Escape Room Designer, Green Man Main. I play video games on Easy mode; I'm too old to get gud.
After moving to penny-free Canada, I found that I missed having a cheap, durable coin for board game prototyping.

US board game designers - stock up on the pennies!

I was ordering new glass frames, and for whatever reason, the silver frames jumped out at me because they matched my beard.

I've always had brownish frames..and I realized that the frames I have now were ones I bought some time ago... when I had a different color in the beard.

I was at the International Plowing Match today, and checked out the VIP Plowing, which was a representative from each of the 4 parties. I was amused to see the size of the four groups at the rural event. (For non-Canadians, Blue = conservative, Orange = labor (NDP), Red = Liberal, Green = Green).

Doing my duty to expose a new generation to Dr. Horrible before board game night.

Sent this picture of me all ready to head out to a dear friend, and his response unlocked a core memory...

"Mr. Green Jeans"

Now I'm gonna need to get me some green overalls.

Oh, you milk frother. You just think you are SOOO funny, spilling milk all over the place like that. Yes, I put too much milk in you, but I didn't have my glasses and I couldn't see the fill line. But you should have known better.

What do you have to say for yourself?

Idea:

Require people to pedal a bike to generate enough power before they can run an AI query.

This could do a lot of good things at once!

My house has been staged for sale, and living in the "live laugh love" house is driving me a little batty, so I made a parody video.

To get the jokes, start with the 90-second video from the listing:

Then visit Scott's Brain:

Have you enjoyed pictures I've shared from my house (between Burford and Paris) in the country over the years?

Now my house can be your house!
(I'm downsizing and moving to south Cambridge.)

Feel free to share with anyone who would enjoy a country lifestyle.

We are close to listing our property for sale. As part of the process, I learned that our barn was built in 1895.
So, I have a 100+ year-old garden shed and bird house.
(I made a video comparing ways to hold a camera for a virtual escape room from the barn: www.youtube.com/watch?v=SB1-... )

Y'all, fun, free logistics advice:
Please stop using UPS for Canadian shipments.

No matter what's in the package or what's on the customs paperwork, UPS Canada will assess a duty on it, and if the declared value is over 40$ CAD, will charge absurd, exorbitant customs broker fees.
You know you work in book logistics when you realize you don't actually hate all the divisions and branches of UPS equally because there's a special place in hell for UPS Canada.

I was today days old when I learned a new term that is perfect for what it describes:

The floordrobe.

If you are a floordrobe fanatic, you know what I mean.

While downsizing, I have amassed this pile of lids. I do not know where any of the containers are that go with these lids.

I was excited as I found a container without a lid. I went through the pile... and NONE OF THESE LIDS FIT!
