There's one simple way to save our swifts - require that all new buildings above a certain size include a swift nesting brick.

Co-sign @markruskell.bsky.social's proposal to show your support before MSPs vote on Wednesday.

Amnesty's new report finds that Israeli authorities are still:

🔴 Severely restricting access to vital humanitarian aid and services
🔴 Expelling Palestinians from their homes and land
🔴 Imposing conditions "calculated to physically destroy Palestinians in Gaza"
🔴 Committing genocide
Israel’s genocide against Palestinians in Gaza continues unabated despite ceasefire
More than a month after a ceasefire was announced and all living Israeli hostages were released, Israeli authorities are still committing genocide against Palestinians in the occupied Gaza Strip, by c...

The @scottishgreens.org are proud to stand in solidarity with @scottishtuc.bsky.social & trade unions from across Scotland against racism and fascism.

We must demand that governments tackle the politics of division that has allowed billionaires to demonise working-class families and migrants.

The headwinds for Mossmorran were clear. That's why in 2022 we commissioned a report looking in depth at future options, followed by summits with trade unions. Governments needed to act much earlier.

Now we need to see real investment in the future of the site and the workforce.

Labour's UK budget was a missed opportunity to really take on the rich and powerful. A fairer, greener Scotland is possible, but it won't be built from Westminster.

This is a disgraceful betrayal of workers by Labour.

Exploitation and unfair dismissal are never acceptable, so why should workers not have protections against them from day one?

Every worker deserves safety, dignity and security regardless of how long they have been in a job.

The Scottish Government rightly allocated tens of millions to protect families from the cruel two child benefit cap.

Thankfully, that cap is now being scrapped. The money allocated should now instead be used to expand free school meals.
John Swinney told extra Budget cash should be spent on more free school meals
EXCLUSIVE: Ross Greer said the benefits of providing free school meals to more pupils were "unquestionable."

We're delighted our amendment to block this section passed.

It was opposed by environmental experts and would've given this and all future governments sweeping powers to run roughshod over vital nature protections.

Nature is our shared wealth. It must not be put at risk.

Announced while everyone's reacting to the budget, Labour are backtracking from their already weak position on new fossil fuel extraction.

🔥🔥🔥 While everyone is distracted by other budget news, Labour have just announced that they will allow more drilling for oil and gas in the North Sea 🔥🔥🔥

Genuinely catastrophic for our climate and further proof that Labour care more about corporate profits than people or planet.

Yet another manifesto commitment watered down by Labour.

The climate crisis worsens every year, but the government continues to retreat.

Instead of action we see climbdowns, u-turns and backtracking. All while the world's biggest polluters celebrate and rake in the profit.

The UK’s 50 richest families hold more wealth than 50% of the population.

A tax on the top 1%'s wealth could raise at least £70 billion for our public services.

The UK has more than enough money to fund our public services and rebuild our infrastructure. But it's hoarded by a tiny minority.

The 50 richest families now hold more wealth than 50% of the population combined.

A tax on the wealth of the top 1% would raise over £70 billion.

It's time we got the pay of uni and college bosses back under control. MSPs can back my plans to do that on Wednesday.

Migrants didn't raise energy bills.
Migrants didn't close community centres.

Know what would help solve Scotland’s problems? Taxing the super-rich and building an affordable country for all.
