Works in Higher Education. Loves movies, The Arsenal.
Hearing Curtis Mayfield’s Move On Up ringing around the stadium just feels right. Especially after a win like that. Come on you Gunners!

I'm often told on here that clothes are meaningless, and to some degree, I agree. However, in this instance, the GOP's aesthetic transformation shows how they use populist style to position themselves as populist outsiders, even as they serve elite interests.

I think it would be fascinating to know what Louisa May Alcott would have thought of each of the adaptations of her work. Would she have a favorite?

It’s fascinating watching my Letterboxd blow up in real time with reviews for a movie once the embargo is lifted

Apple replacing the integrated dictionary definition of the “look up” feature is a shining example of how coprorarions will ultimately turn their back on their consumer in the name of maximizing profits. We already have designed obsolescence, now we have less functional products

Driving from Georgia into Florida is like a NASCAR race where the final lap has been under caution for a while, and all the drivers go absolutely ballistic once the pace car is off the track

I really can’t explain how great it felt to watch the Orlando Pride win their first championship last night. They made the 407 proud this year no matter the outcome, but they went and did the whole thing. Gonna feel this season for years to come

It seems like this place is finally heating up. I let go of twitter a while ago, slowly at first and a full break in January. I don’t think I’ll ever use social media in the way I did in the good Twitter years again, but this place seems to have so much more promise than threads. Thanks for coming

Sing Sing is amazing. A must see. One of the most moving films I’ve seen in a decade.

Greta Gerwig not getting a director nom is wild. I wouldn’t be surprised if female directors are casualties of the “spreading nominations around” sentiment.

That Trinity Rodman no-look back-heel nutmeg which she recovers was just… unthinkable. Mind blowing. I’m literally awestruck. #uswnt

Megan Rapinoe achieved a status that few athletes ever do-she transcended sport.

Her assist for Wambach’s goal against Brazil 2011 WC is special to me. Watched that game with my mom in her hospital room. WC was a needed distraction, my mom wasn’t even a soccer fan. A bright light in a dark time.

I’ve always been a fan of pop culture, especially film…but I’ve found in my adult years that I continue to find art/ entertainment interesting but more and more find artists exhausting

Man…sports injuries are really hard for me to stomach. Can’t believe how people can share clips with the *exact moment* something like that happens so casually.

For those interested in things legal &or HR related, there’s a wild situation happening in American soccer w/ the New England Revolution.
Probably a fascinating case study if the details ever come to light.
