Nothing.

More childcare spaces announced, but government can’t even keep existing ones open

Spaces closing on the Sunshine Coast were barely open one year

What we're hearing constantly from government and public bodies is that everyone supports child care, but no one will be courageous and step up to keep these programs open

The YMCA closures of its infant and toddler care programs at the West Sechelt and Gibsons locations cut 16 spots from a region already strapped for child care.

Some parents say the closure has upended their lives and at least a dozen won’t be able to head back to work. #bclab #bcpoli

On Sep 17 we met with provincial, school district & local government officials to discuss an immediate action plan to prevent childcare closures, including recruitment/retention incentives

Unfortunately, no immediate commitments were made
