I don't know about the reporting, but it's certainly been brought up and discussed here on this site, and I'm reasonably sure that my community isn't the only one where people wrote their senators asking them to use this route last time.
I'm planning to ask again, for all the good it will do.

I just don't believe for a moment that the fact that none of the senators who did put their names on this are up for re-election any time soon is a coincidence. It's not like this isn't a well-known game.

Not at all. I believe that those 7 took the hit because they're retiring or not running for re-election until 2031, so they subbed in for more electorally vulnerable colleagues. I wish somebody would out the latter, and put the targets back on their backs.

I'm not sure I'm getting your point here. It's just a tool. Donors trust it, and the campaign finance authorities don't look at it funny the way they do the cash apps. It's not doing any promotion for you: that's on you.
