This point coupled with a system of public engagement that listens mostly to ppl with ample free time and a legal system that awards folks who can launch frivolous lawsuits is exactly why the US is stuck spinning our wheels on so many urban issues.
There's a certain kind of narcissistic elder that just hates any kind of change, no matter how obvious it is that it would improve things or how many people want it. If they can't be the main character taking credit for the idea and be who benefits from it the most, it's a no-go.

Seeing the way that the online left is responding to the idea of #Abundance is disheartening. I’ve spent two years working on the IRA and most of it hasnt and probably won’t be finished. We can’t keep goin like this. To the folks bashing Abundance I ask what’s your solution?

So the gentleman who just won a seat that was opened bc a representative died has died. This country has been taken hostage by boomers of both parties who refuse to move aside.
