when Elon Musk started recruiting for DOGE last November, he said the work would be “tedious” and “compensation is zero"

now it turns out some DOGE operatives are earning six-figure salaries, one as high as $195,200, as much as a civil servant can legally make

Some DOGE Staffers Are Drawing Six-Figure Government Salaries
Engineers and executives at the so-called Department of Government Efficiency are drawing healthy taxpayer-funded salaries—sometimes from the very agencies they are cutting.

ProPublica looked into science grants that Ted Cruz's team flagged as "radical" and "neo-Marxist" and, uh.

This would be good comedy if it didn't matter so much www.propublica.org/article/ted-...

We are experiencing an assault on science unparalleled by anything I’ve seen in my life. It’s not one issue or another anymore, the entire institution is under attack by the most powerful individuals in the country.

This Friday, where will you be?

The Regime has banned CDC staff from authorship on any publications that include authors or funding from the World Health Organization. They have been instructed to remove their name from any work that has already been submitted. This is a grotesque and harmful order that makes the U.S. less safe.

As @jeremymberg.bsky.social correctly assessed at the time, the NIH memo that slashed overhead rates came from Trump/Musk, not anyone within the organization.

Please call or write to your elected representatives and state Attorneys General and explain to them that NIH submissions to the Federal Register must be permitted immediately. This is a bureaucratic end run around a court order to resume NIH funding.

RFK Jr. thinks that a clinical trial should be done for the entire childhood vaccine schedule. Here’s why that will never happen.

1. You can’t do a randomized trial of something that we already know is safe and effective. There would have to be a placebo group that didn’t get vaxxed. Unethical.
