This sort of effort is what I'm funding these days.
The Internet Archive has to date downloaded 500 terabytes of US government websites, which it crawls at the end of every presidential term. The whole archive is fully searchable. This effort's housed by a donation-funded nonprofit, not a branch of the US government. blog.archive.org/2024/05/08/e...

Cool!
Most solids expand when heated and shrink when cooled, but a small number of materials do the opposite.
Simulations have revealed that cordierite’s unique thermal expansion results from a surprising combination of a tension effect and a hinge mechanism.

Computer simulations shed light on how material can shrink when heated
New theory offers insights into the origin of the very low and negative thermal expansion observed in cordierite

This history CANNOT be repeated!!!
This is what the government did with 120K+ Japanese Americans in 1942.

I know. I was there in those camps.

How is this legal?
Do we have enough people in the justice system for all yhe injustices at this point??
US science is getting trashed.

The National Science Foundation (NSF) in combing through $billions in already awarded grants to find anything that might displease Trump.

Grantees are blocked from accessing funds while the review is ongoing, wreaking havoc across the academic research community.

@maddow.msnbc.com yes! This isn't getting enough attention amongst the onslaught of news.
Can you do a story on the dismantling of the national science foundation?

Ironically, the same president that issued an "Energy Emergency" and calls for AI advancement is halting scientific progress.
If he had taken one systems class he might understand... it doesnt work that way.

The new Trump admin is already signalling it will kill potentially life saving research. 🧪
