Anyway, despite being extremely burned out, I'm gonna return to working here alone at home, but at some point later today I'll hafta deal with bosses about this week's nonsense.

You know, I quit gambling decades ago, but odds are pretty good that they won't like my response!

Today is November 22nd, the 62nd anniversary of when Lee Harvey Oswald was indirectly responsible for the near death of.....ok, I know what you're thinking: "What's he mean by *indirectly* responsible and *near* death? Oswald killed JFK!"

Ok, that's enough freezing out here for one night.

Looks like I just ain't gonna see nothing.

If it isn't light pollution, or overcast skies, then it's too many trees obstructing my view.

Trying to see auroral or astronomical phenomena around here is too often, well, you know:

Oh, and I was gonna make a new Halloween graphic featuring Paul Dirac - perhaps themed as Paul Diracula (um, perhaps not) - but just couldn't think of anything that'd top my graphic of Spooky Paul Dirax . . . get it, 'cause he's holding an ax? . . . so here it is again!

Bohr to retort: "Einstein, stop telling God what to do."

Bohr promoted the Copenhagen Interpretation, that reality is fundamentally probabilistic, and this view has dominated the field ever since that conference - prevailing because it's supported by experimental evidence.

That conference notably featured the conflicting views of Albert Einstein with Niels Bohr.

Einstein was biased against the idea that the universe really conformed to the Heisenberg uncertainty principle, claiming "God does not play dice with the universe.", which prompted

Recognize this famous photograph?

These 29 scientists (17 of whom were/became Nobel laureates) gathered together for the 5th Solvay International Conference on Physics, which concluded 98 years ago today, having run from the 24th to 29th of October 1927.
