Annnnd, send.

Was gonna write that in the tone of Samuel L. Jackson in Pulp Fiction, but opted instead for that of Fred from Mister Rogers' Neighborhood.

(Have I more aptitude for diplomacy than I'd been aware?)

On a related note, it looks like I may have a little time off.

Before starting to get some work done this morning, I checked on something. The last time that I had a day off from work - entirely - was on Mother's Day.

Before that, it was Easter.

Those are the ONLY 2 days this entire calendar year that I haven't had to log in at least

Epilogue:

So grateful was Liberace for St. Francis hospital saving his life, he made himself available for hospital fundraisers - gratitude which they reciprocated in a ceremony dedicating the "Liberace Lobby", which remained as such until the hospital's demolition in 2002.

It took 3 weeks for him to recover well enough to travel back home to recuperate, but dialysis saved Liberace's life - a life that might very well have never been endangered in the first place if not for an assassin who was all too successful in killing his intended target.

"feeling ill" is really underselling it, because he suffered kidney failure to the point that a priest had administered last rites, but, fortunately for Liberace, the relatively new technique of dialysis was available to him in St. Francis hospital, where he received care.

At some point he decided to do something useful, so he started cleaning his costumes (used for his various costume changes throughout his performance) with cleaning fluid - in a room with closed windows due to the late November chill outdoors, which led to him to feeling ill.

However, on that fateful day when JFK was assassinated, that evening's scheduled performance was, of course, canceled - and Liberace gave his entire staff the night off to mourn.

So there he was, Liberace alone in his room at the Holiday House with nothing to do that night.

This is about when Lee almost killed Lee - not himself, of course, just another who went by that name: Liberace.

At the time, Liberace had been booked to perform two weeks of shows at a famous nightclub in the greater Pittsburgh region: the Holiday House in Monroeville, PA.

Today is November 22nd, the 62nd anniversary of when Lee Harvey Oswald was indirectly responsible for the near death of.....ok, I know what you're thinking: "What's he mean by *indirectly* responsible and *near* death? Oswald killed JFK!"

Yeah, but I'm not talking about JFK.

What the heck is M-snow?

Is that predicted by M-theory to fall upon the landscape (and in the swampland, you know, only if it gets really really cold), or what?

There have been other revolutions in particle physics, like the superstring revolutions, and hopefully I'll eventually get around to commenting on those here, but - considering I just barely made it in time for *this* anniversary by an hour - who knows when I finally will?

Before the war, it was common for Americans to refer to themselves as Pennsylvanians, Virginians, etc, but afterwards as Americans.

Even 'United States' was used differently, changing from a plural "the United States are" before, to a singular "the United States *is*" after.

I hope that more contemporary story is a bit more relatable the previous example I shared for the change in how quarks are viewed since the November Revolution.

That turning point used to remind me of a consequence from the aftermath of the American Civil War.

And that's the most important thing to remember about the November Revolution:
