That is a lot of water from coming out of the sky. And not a small amount of it is in the library.

I’m usually really mad about the class before me not erasing the boards, but I’ll let these pass.

For our various craft events, my colleague has been painting rocks to look like pigeons (rock doves). She left today’s in the new (not yet filled) bird bath in the veteran’s garden and it made me unreasonably happy.

But we are sharing happy pics. I love that the library feels safe enough to sleep at, whether a student or the resident deer just outside the window

We are sharing pics of what we won’t miss about the library building. These are my contributions. That temp was * in * my office in February this year. The others are the weeping walls and the sewage leaks on the staff area.

Oh, I didn’t share this fantastic doodle on the chalkboard outside of the math dept here yesterday. It’s fabulous.

Our Crafternoon craft was pretty awesome. Paper mache lanterns with pressed leave and flowers gathered from around campus. Extra bonus for the battery tea lights.

Came to campus so I might as well make it worth it. It’s November 2. This shouldn’t be a thing. Not complaining.

Día de los Muertos tacos. Treated myself to horchata.

My costume is a deep cut. But still one if my favorite literary figures.

Left work early to go help mom with something. But instead dead stopped on 24 for the last 10 minutes because all lanes are blocked by a Tesla fire.

Normal day in ye old campus library.

Also, get the f- off my shelf. Weeding is a moral imperative!

We have two dogs at work today. And both have costumes. They are so patient and such good boys

More book weeding. This one still had a pocket card. And one of the people who checked out but was my first professor. Really old school guy. Classical languages guy. A few years from retirement. He was tough and way smarter than I could understand. But I credit him with a lot of who I am

Strangely, the hardest part of this building to prepare for packing isn’t the 200k books. It’s all the art. Professionals are here to figure out how to do that.

Trying to purge more stack trash before the move. And weeding old stuff is always fun for a weird find. A book with microfiche!

If you are keeping track at home, I… don’t not win my race. I lost it. Badly. Rained on me 1.5 of the 2 miles. Fun!
October 26, 2025 at 10:40 PM
Now that the race is over, my own race is on to see if I can get my daily walk in before the rain hits. Walking along the shore, I see it moving in over the bay. It’s gonna be really close.

Oh hi friend. I could have reached out and pet her as I passed by if I wanted to. I was actually nervous that she wasn’t walking away as I got closer. But she was just chill.

We’re no New England, but the trees on campus are getting really pretty.
October 24, 2025 at 1:35 AM
One day of a dude physically standing there redirecting students away from the staff lot, and this is how much room is later arrives had. It was really nice to not have to walk 10 minutes with all my stuff
October 23, 2025 at 5:02 PM
Quiet after work walk on campus. Just me and the deer munching the chapel lawn. And students, doing whatever they do in the dark. I’m trying not to hear or see it.
