Recently a family member sarcastically referred to me as a "Zen master," which is hilarious if you have any sense of how anxious I am ... BUT I did let the driver of a car in front of me space out at a green light today for five seconds without honking

Thus concludes my dharma talk 💁‍♀️

Editors: How do you explain the editor-writer relationship to folks new to the process? I'm exploring how to circumvent at least some of the defensiveness of writers who have never been edited before

@jeromiahtaylor.bsky.social came in clutch on this review of an exhibition on view for less than two weeks. A closing reception will take place 6-8 p.m. tomorrow at Harvester Arts. www.shoutwichita.com/giana-martin...
This is how we do it: Giana Martinez's 'Chicana Diaries'
With "sharp edges, cutesy excess, and unflinching sincerity," a Wichita tattoo artist brings a slice of East L.A. to Harvester Arts. The exhibition is on view through July 25.

I've been a PBS member ever since *that* mid-season cliffhanger in Sanditon s3. 🤓 Even if you look at it as just paying for a streaming service, it's one of the best deals out there.
btw did you know you can subscribe to PBS for only like $5/mo or a $60 one-time for a year donation, and get access to their Passport streaming service? They mail you a little live programming guide and everything, too. The 40-something seasons of NOVA alone are worth it.
Donate to your local PBS/NPR stations. It's up to us now.

I confess I sometimes think our reviews skew a bit too positive, but I can’t disagree with this assessment. Angelique Ilo’s choreography is fab & Taylor Aronson is in possession of a formidable voice. “I Got Rhythm” was so good I almost cried.
