We are a Cluster of Excellence (EXC) based in Frankfurt, Germany, that explore the SubCellular Architecture of LifE. Our goal is to understand how the organizational principles within cells give rise to functional biological outcomes.
SCALE is a pioneering research center in partnership with Max Planck Institute of Biophysics, Max Planck Institute for Brain Research, FIAS - Frankfurt Institute for Advanced Studies, Universität des Saarlandes, Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, and EMBL.
