They do indeed. You need to connect to your audience. I use them is crisis and emergency comms training too. They are fact-based - what happened? What are you doing about it (your response) and what actions should the public take? (As a minimum - stay informed with credible sources.)

I like that idea. Every community has well-established networks. We just need to be optimizing them.

Its kind of like doing interviews. The day you don’t feel anxious is probably they day you shouldn't be the spokesperson. I think anxiety is the same. You’ve got this!
