Lol this is completely wrong. The reason you didn’t see more stuff like Atlantis and Treasure Planet had way more to do with Disney trying to target “teen” audiences that were getting into that big post 2000 anime boom, but those films weren’t as mainstream marketable as princess movies for toddlers

I just watched Elemental... It's actually a really touching, well done story. I'd be tempted to write all about the way it portrays the immigrant experience. I was caught up with how much of a Jewish story it felt like before I realized how universal a lot of the experiences were to immigrants.
