Ancestral immigrant to the UK. Normal but different, maybe even a little strange.

Is a moral, caring society something of the past .. outdated .. lost forever ?

If SCOTUS planned to uphold birthright citizenship, they would’ve left the lower-court rulings untouched. Taking the case is the tell. You don’t grab a 150-year precedent just to admire it. They took it because they intend to change it. Pretending otherwise is denial.

Don't let the billionaires win. Don't let extremism become the British way - racism, hate, self interest & greed. Don't let the right wing press deceive you.

Starmer & Reeves have steadied the waters, looking out for all of us. Growth will come, but only if we get behind UK Labour and allow it.

Read the small print.

The shoots of confidence in Labour run UK are beginning to show.

Confidence in Keir Starmer and Rachel Reeves in plain sight with big business on board for the train to prosperity.

Why I voted Labour UK & will vote for them again.

I don't care about a billionaire changing tax status but I do care about the cost of my rail ticket. His businesses will continue & he will still spend time in the UK.

Knowledge is our power.

Should the UK remain tethered to the ECHR?
Most of us argue emotionally rather than with knowledge & understanding.

For a greater, better Britain, knowledge is the path to walk.
I am reading to make sure I understand. I hope you will too.

Mark is a lovely man, who I've been following online for years. Do support him if you can.
I am running the London Parks Half Marathon for SANDS in memory of our first son Olly who died at 9 months in 2012.

Just did my first 7 mile run. More than half of the way there!

SANDS has been a wonderful support. Anything you can give will be welcome. Thanks.

How much of his personal expenses get paid through the company, disguised as company expenses?
The parliamentary register of interests shows that Farage has made nearly £400,000 from GB News since August 2024, for c190 hours’ work. This suggests he is being paid more than £2,000 an hour by the news channel. All paid to Thorn In The Side Ltd owned solely by Farage

25% tax rather than HR
This is a huge story.

Don't let him get away with it.

Farage tells Reform conference: “We refuse to have our children’s minds poisoned with a twisted interpretation of history.”

What I suspect he really means is that he wants children to get taught a bunch of self-affirming lies about the past aka fake history and that's really very dangerous indeed.
