I don't think enough people are talking about the interrelationship between climate change and insurance - not just in the US, but in Europe too. If anyone has more resources on this, I'd gratefully receive them!
Insurance co's have been dropping coverage all over the Gulf Coast for the past several years and millions are either relying on scam companies, near bankrupt state gov. insurers or just forgoing coverage. There are wealthy people in FL that can eat the loss, but a hurricane will ruin LA, MS or AL.
In Florida, about 15-20% of homes are uninsured, due to the current impact of climate change.

And now the Trump administration has gutted the nation's ability to forecast hurricanes and put in charge of FEMA a man so clueless he didn't realize "hurricane season" is an actual thing.

Buckle up.

Renewable Energy = Energy Security. Ed Miliband gets it. Can he come to Brussels and explain it to some EU politicians please?

"In a volatile global economy, it is frankly insane to keep relying on imported fossil fuels—the main cause of climate change—when renewable energy offers a cheaper and cleaner alternative." Can't say clearer than that.

Just to make a fun-sponge point:

if every Trump supporter bought an EV, even if the electricity grid was 100% fossil fuel powered, it would still reduce carbon emissions, because EVs are ~5 times more efficient than internal combustion engines.
