I am just going to keep posting that the TX governor recently pardoned a political murderer.

The dude texted "I'm going to shoot protestors", then went and shot a Black Lives Matter protester. He was convicted in a jury trial.

Hard to find a more blatant example of celebrating political violence.
Gov. Greg Abbott pardons Daniel Perry, veteran who killed police brutality protester in 2020
A Travis County jury sentenced Perry to 25 years in prison last year, prompting Abbott to ask the state parole board to review his case.

So the white dude from Fox News said we should kill mentally ill homeless folks, he apologizes and they’re good; @karenattiah.bsky.social posts an accurate quote and says she’s not in the mood to mourn and gets bounced.

First time in history, I believe, that a vice president will be filling in for someone who once called for the execution of another vice president (who became a president).
The Vice President of the Unitrd States is going to guest host Charlie Kirk's podcast tomorrow.

"On the last episode of his show before he was killed," Kirk told "his audience, falsely, that “one in 22 Black men will be a murderer in their lifetime” and that “by age of 23, half of all Black males have been arrested and not enough of them have been arrested.”

As someone who spent many hours listening to Kirk’s show on AM radio, I would say that he made Rush Limbaugh seem like Walter Cronkite by comparison, in terms of rhetorical tone and empirical rigor. The subtext of every show was “You don’t hate the left enough.”
My sense is that most Americans had not heard of Charlie Kirk until yesterday. The first and perhaps only thing they're going to hear about him from the most trusted and important voices in American politics is that he was a model and constructive participant in good-faith political discourse.

This is an important thread. It seems weirdly disrespectful to try to turn Kirk into something he clearly despised.

If an NHL enforcer known for taking out players on the opposing team died, we wouldn’t eulogize him for his grace and nimbleness on the ice. Kirk was a skilled propagandist who had a very loose and opportunistic relationship to what most people would call “the truth.” Why pretend otherwise?

Okay Audible. How much do I have to pay to convince you to make a second season of Elmo's Ready Set Ride podcast? Bc I have listened to the 8 episodes too many times and my son keeps asking for it.

NEW: @aclu.org obtained ICE's "Alien Enemies Act Validation Guide," confirming all it takes to be sent to rot in prison in El Salvador is being Venezuelan and 1) having a tattoo an ICE officer says is a "gang tattoo" and 2) displaying "logos," "symbols" or clothes an ICE officer says are gang signs.
