Much like the first time around, Saffron Safety Cone's time in office will be spent deliberately reducing my internet time and intake of online "news". I love politics, but I can't stay mentally healthy if I drown myself in outrage/despair/disbelief of what is happening in our country.

We had a great long weekend in Folly Beach, with a day in Charleston. i got to show hubby all my favorite places there. It was nice to take a break from life and soak up some wonderful sun. The only bad part was coming home to 44 degrees. 😭

Once your mother dies, Mother's Day becomes just another day, even if you are a mother yourself. I've been a mother for over 28 years (far longer than I wasn't) and in the last three years, I don't really celebrate or feel the need to be feted today.

Had a great weekend! Dusted the cobwebs off my bicycle and took our new bike carrier for the car out for a spin. It's been a while since I last rode bike and owee, does my undercarriage ever hurt! LOL

Our local organic farm store opened for the season yesterday. I am so happy to have LOCAL, organic fresh produce again! I am making a big salad for dinner with fresh greens, cukes, radishes, mushrooms, tomatoes, shallot and red onion. Maybe a hard-boiled egg. Yum!
