Anyway, today I drew a foot locker opening and closing because after all this time with this game, I realized there weren't enough hiding spots on the right side of the room.

Are the angles and scale all wrong? Obviously! But I am in my mid-50s and have earned the right to say "artistic license."

You've found a bug in your #playdate game! Do you:

a) Devote all your time and energy to methodically researching the bug and coming up with a robust solution, or

b) Work on something unrelated and hope the solution just magically comes to you while you're doing it

This week on my #playdate game has been all about menus! Exactly the kind of exciting stuff that the people yearn to see.

Implementing an entirely new feature - around 2-3 hours
Slightly reworking the UI flow - at least a week

To take a break from fixing bugs I worked on some launch animation for my #playdate game. It needs clean-up and plus-up, but you know what they say: make it exist first, you can make it look janky and amateurish later.

Results of Personas with the latest Vision Pro (beta) update. Slightly less horrifying, but much like a game industry recruiter, it gets one look at a white beard and says “nope.”

It won’t let me open my mouth, so it looks like I’m biting my tongue about how weird and bad it is.
