I bought it just because I like the graphic design so much, but it’s one that as I’m playing, it slowly becomes more and more evident how genius it is.

So even if it doesn’t seem like much, it makes me feel better to see other people’s posts about struggles finding work be met with “I’m sorry this is happening to you” or RTs to help the job hunt. Even if it doesn’t turn out to have practical results, it’s at least a sign of community and support.

Even taking into account that I was hyper-sensitive and only remembering the worst, *and* that I was venting to people who literally had no control over the situation and were going through stress themselves, it still sticks with me as surprisingly callous & made me expect the worst from people.

It felt like I was going insane, with all of the times recruiters would be egregiously disrespectful or outright lie, and even at best show a complete disregard for the value of my time.

But every time I complained, the response was “yeah that’s how it is. Suck it up, buttercup.”

We use distant black holes to know the position of Earth in space. If we invented GPS and didn’t use them to confirm our position, GPS would be inaccurate and unusable because we could not tell the precise positioning of Earth even though we’d know the relationship between your car and a satellite.
