The opposite of a polymath isn’t a specialist — it’s someone who stops asking how things connect.
We’re all born that way, curious and cross-wired — but only some of us stay polymathic on purpose.

Restoring Childhood — a grassroots movement in Putnam County — led me to challenge the futility of prioritizing presence over tech addiction. The difference — calmer energy, better sleep, and more genuine moments together. It’s not anti-tech. It’s pro-childhood.

Book quote to remember: “We talk about ‘living our best lives,’ but how are we gonna do it when we have fear holding our ankles down like some dad sneakers?… Your feet look like they’re embedded in some rocks as you drag those bulky things around all day.” - Luvvie Jones, Professional Troublemaker

Low on hope? In these dark days, Dr. Ala Stanford’s story is giving me WIND IN MY SAILS! What a life. For all of the transgressions she has suffered, she exudes such warmth and humanity. She is powered by love and the words, “you can’t…” www.simonandschuster.com/books/Take-C...

Last night, I realized that my levity to doom ratio was was way lopsided. But lately, it feels like the dominoes are falling so quickly that it even feels weird to give a positive response when someone asks, “how are you”? Am I grateful for what I’ve got or am I horrified at what I’m witnessing?

Keep going!
I'm done spiraling. There's so much outside our control so we need to keep focusing on what is within our control.

For me, that means I'm spending the day doubling down on my climate and disaster justice research. Plenty of good and important work has been done under oppressive regimes.

Last night, I dreamed that I ran into a guy I dated in college. As we made out, I noticed that he had the acronym for my work office tattooed on the back of his arm. Next, I found myself at a field party with Matthew McConaughey and the VP of Market Development, respectively. #WeirdDreams

I’m finding this to be an interesting social experiment on my part. I started my foray into social networking at the inception of Facebook and MySpace (basically my live streaming consciousness), all the way to X where I was strictly a voyeur… Maybe I’ll just talk about my really weird dreams.

👋 Obviously, I’m new here. I was on Twitter, stayed on X for weather updates, and cut the cord on Nov 6. My algorithm had become insufferable. It’s unsettling how quickly things can shift in society. I’d love to connect with people who are grounded and compassionate. Also, this is my sidekick, Izzy.
